Frequently Asked Questions

Here are the answers to some of the most common questions we get asked by our customers. If there’s something you’d like to know that isn’t listed on this page, please email our expert team at info@pl-linemarking.co.uk, and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

We aim to respond to quotes within 48 business hours. However, this may be delayed slightly if we require more information. To ensure we can provide an accurate quote, please provide the following information as part of your enquiry:

  • Is the work indoor or outdoor?
  • What type of surface do you need marking (ie tarmac, grass, synthetic etc)?
  • What is the address of the site to be marked?
  • What work is required (ie sports markings, playground markings, MUGAs etc)?
  • Does the work need to be finished by a specific date (for example, in time for a new school term)?
  • Is there any special information we should know about in advance, such as dates or times we cannot work?

Also, if you could please provide pictures or plans of the area, it will help us produce a timelier and more accurate quote.

Yes, all our operatives have up-to-date DBS accreditation, and we can provide DBS numbers for those attending the site to work.

Yes, we do if you or we deem it necessary. We can easily work from plans and Google Earth to ascertain what we need.
The most important information is the accurate measurements of the area to be marked. Any discrepancy can be worked out while we are on-site working.
All this information can be dealt with throughout the sales process, as you will be able to speak with a member of the team who will be doing the work on-site.

Unfortunately, the Great British weather can often play a role in preventing us from installing your line markings, as we need a clear, dry day to carry out the work. If this should happen, we aim to rebook the job as soon as possible on the next available date to suit both parties.

If the weather affects your line marking installation at any point, we book in to complete the work as soon as possible, and you will not be invoiced until the job is completed.

Yes. However, we charge an additional fee for weekend work and for jobs that start after 5pm. Please note there is high demand for weekend work, and these days can be booked up months in advance.

Yes, please let us know in advance if a Risk Assessment Method Statement (RAMS) is required and if our line markers will need to have an induction before they can begin the work.

Please let us know as soon as possible if any adjustments to the planned work are needed. We can usually accommodate this even once the job has started, but this cannot be guaranteed on every occasion.

We aim to book jobs in as soon as possible, but this depends on your requirements and any adjustments to the workplace you need to make on the date we are scheduled to start the job. As a rough guide, we aim to book work within two to four weeks of the quote being accepted, although this is not always possible.
